Welcome to you
This page is to welcome you with your signup to the FMDigital online Forum.
We hope that you will find this a useful resource, as it is intended to be a "Quick-Start Manual" at this early stage, rather than full documentation on how to use the forum. This introduction is designed to help you find your way around the forums and get started as quickly as possible.
OK, some simple homework.
FIRST THING - YOUR PROFILE
If this is the first time that you have logged on, please check your Profile settings. This is on the top menu bar as Profile, then Edit Profile, and you can then choose the item that you wish to change. Settings worth investigation are Personal, Privacy and Notification.
SEARCH FIRST
If you have a question, it is best to first search the existing boards and threads for the word or words that you are interested in. You can find Search at the top on the main menu.
WHERE TO POST
The forum is split into sections, with each forum having its own one-line description on the front page. Please try to choose the most suitable board section for your new thread topic, and please post your topic in only one board section.
Multi posting is frowned upon. Duplicate postings will be closed or deleted.
Posting your own topic is smiled upon
Unless you are to discuss the same topic as the original poster thread, do not post in someones thread. Start your own topic. Choose the correct board section from the forum front page, click Create Thread, add your Threads title and then add in what you wish to discuss. If your not sure, create a thread under the appropriate section General Discussion board.
Give it a go, its easy to begin our discussions.
MOBILE/TABLET APP
For those with a smart phone (iPhone, Android, Windows Phone, etc) or a tablet (iPad, Galaxy, etc) a really useful App to have is Tapatalk. This amazing app simplifies accessing the forum and been able to post replies, when using these device types. Search your App Store / Play Store for TAPATALK, or see there website HERE.
THE MODERATORS
Sometimes when someone's having a bad day a post may be flagged and highlighted to a moderator. This is considered a cool-down tactic, and isn't intended to be a bad thing. It just means your behaviour caught our attention in a slightly negative way, and we want to keep everything above the table. If this happens, just be patient. The Moderators will review and approve your posts pretty quickly, or edit them and reply, pointing out what's wrong.
If, however, your actions escalate, you'll get banned. There's no one behaviour to point at for this, but basically if you start lashing out, calling people names, making accusations, emailing people nasty messages, or challenging the authority of the moderators, you may end up banned. The basic rule of thumb is don't act like a bad person. You're an adult, you know how to behave. We expect you to, and if you don't, or can't, you will be banned.
Harassing anyone is not permitted, and you will be banned if you do this.
The moderators reserve the right to delete topics or posts that are off-topic or detrimental to the community. However it is not the general policy to edit or delete forum posts unless they are spam, harassing, illegal, or outright abuse. The moderators will not delete your post or remove your link just because an Internet search for a term brings up the forums before your actual URLs.
Users can edit a post for up to 30 minutes from the time of submission. After that, the post can only be edited by a moderator.
When a post is made and people contribute answers to an issue, that then becomes part of the community resource for others to benefit from and deleting posts removes this added value.
Forum topics will only be edited or deleted at the discretion of the moderators if they represent a valid legal, security, or safety concern.
Don’t post things you aren’t 100% okay with being public. We’ll delete them if we agree it’s a big enough deal.
Keeping cool and an eye on discussion is the key object within this forum.
CONTACTING THE MODERATORS
As the moderators are volunteers, we ask that if you need moderator help for any reason, you find them listed under the Members section on the main menu. They will be grouped under Group.
THE BAD STUFF
AKA what not to do...
We need to keep the forums friendly, so occasionally topic content will be moderated. In severe cases users may be blocked. This might mean anything from the light editing of some posts to complete removal of topics and deactivation of accounts. It should really go without saying, but the following are likely candidates for moderation or intervention:
And that's all. Enjoy your stay and input at the FMDigital forum!

This might mean anything from the light editing of some posts to complete removal of topics and deactivation of accounts. It should really go without saying, but the following are likely candidates for moderation or intervention:
- Forum members should not post their email addresses, ask others to post their email or solicit contacting people off of the forums.
- Forum members should not post login information.
- Harassment. This should be simple, but please don't harass or abuse people. Don't send them emails calling them names.
- Spam and affiliate links, duplicate posts, offensive posts, posts without content, flames, and references to adult content that have not been highlighted as NSFW.
- Posting in all caps. This is considered shouting and is rude. Please note that this list is not exhaustive. Every post is judged on its own merits.
And that's all. Enjoy your stay and input at the FMDigital forum!
